Graduate School News and Updates

It is never too early or too late for SC State communications graduates to think about getting an advanced degree that can help advance their careers.  Here is some news about May 2020 comm grads and older graduates too.

Tony Daquan Phillips (Class of 2020) and Jaelyn McCrae, also graduating May 2020, are both heading to the graduate communication program at Florida State University.  We are sure these Bulldogs will look good also in FSU Seminoles colors!  

Crystal Thurmond, who graduated from our communications program in 2019 is now enrolled in the University of South Carolina's College of Information and Communications. 

Shenice Caughman, also Class of 2019, has been accepted into the MBA program at Clemson University. Shenice will look good in Clemson orange we are sure! 

Brianna Sailem (Class of 2018) recently informed us that she has been accepted in the Master of Professional Studies in Fashion Management at the New School in New York City.  

Shaliyah North (2017) has been accepted into graduate school at the University of Alabama. 

And, though we don't have a photo of her, we want to share that Ciara Williams (2016) is enrolled in the University of Southern California's Master of Communication Management program. 

Also, 2016 communications alumna Shandice Sluch, now a lawyer in Chicago after earning her law degree at Notre Dame, is featured in a recently Windy City publication. Read it here. 

We are so proud of these and all of our graduates! Remember, the faculty and staff are here for you as resource people, reference letter writers, and advice-givers!  

For May 2020 graduates today (May 31) at 3 p.m. will be their virtual graduation ceremony. Go to the SC State website to watch! Congratulations Class of 2020!
